RTD is hosting an open house tonight in Longmont

District I Community Open House
Indian Peaks Elementary School
1335 S. Judson Street

I have questions.

Why is RTD having a meeting in a location without bus service?

Why was this meeting not announced through the Read-n-Ride service?

The City of Denver may be having meetings on bus routes

It is hard to tell because our city planners do not seem to speak English, and they certainly do not speak Spanish. All workshops are in Denver and start at 5:30 pm. I do not know how long they last.

Wednesday, September 13 at 5:30 pm
Maxwell Elementary School
14390 Bolling Drive
Bus: 45 is closest, 42 is also within walking distance

Southeast Denveright Workshop
Thursday, September 14 at 5:30 pm
University of Denver, Anderson Academic Commons
2150 E. Evans Avenue
Bus: 21, the 24 is further
Light Rail: University of Denver Station is on the other side of campus

Southwest Denveright Workshop
Tuesday, September 20 at 5:30 pm
Doull Elementary
2520 S. Utica
Bus: None close by, 50 and 51 are in far walking distance

Northwest Denveright Workshop
Wednesday, September 20 at 5:30 pm
Scheitler Rec Center
5031 W. 46th Avenue
Bus: 44 is closest, 51 is within walking distance on the other side of I-70

Central Denveright Workshop
Thursday, September 21 at 5:30 pm
East High School
1600 City Park Esplanade
Bus: 15, 15L, 24
This is the only location right on a bus line.

Please go to the location nearest you and find the people who work for the city (not the consultants) and tell them what you need. Not the answers to the questions that they want answered, tell them what you as a bus rider needs.

Should RTD cut bus stops and the D Line?

Schedule Change Public Meetings

Wednesday, June 7 at 6 pm
Calvary Baptist Church
6500 E. Girard Avenue
Denver
Bus: 35, 65, 105
40 is a short walk away.

RTD is proposing cutting stops on the 40 and 105, but most of the stops that are being cut are not near this location.

1600 Blake Street
Denver
Bus: Free Mallride, 0, 6, 15, 15L, 20, 28, 32, 44

Denver is pushing to close a couple of the busiest stops along Broadway, and RTD is going along even though it appears that RTD isn't getting anything out of the deal.

Thursday, June 8 at 6 pm
Douglas H. Buck Recreation Center
204 W. Powers Avenue
Littleton
Bus: 66
Littleton Downtown Station is within walking distance. C and D light rail stations and the buses (29, 36, 59, 67) that stop there.

The D Line may stop going to Five Points. This will also be discussed at the meeting listed next.

Friday, June 9 at 6 pm
Glenarm Recreation Center
2800 Glenarm Place
Denver
Bus: A block and a half from 27th & Welton Station (D Line) in one direction and a block and a half from the 12 and 28 buses in the other.

University Memorial Center, Council Chambers
1669 Euclid Avenue, Room 247
Boulder
Bus: 204, 225, DASH, SKIP, GS, FF1, FF2, FF5, AB1
HOP at its own stop.

They are going to discontinue the historic part of the 206. Also the 209 will no longer go near the Table Mesa ParknRide. The 236 will provide replacement service to Table Mesa for CU students, but the working class people who used to depend on the 206 are still out of luck.

RTD Bus Schedules Change Today

Most of the changes are minor schedule adjustments, but a few minutes can make a big difference if you miss your bus.

In addition, extra buses for the school year are starting to go away, based on the schedules of the various school districts.

Daneya Esgar of Pueblo is a co-sponsor of the bill to strengthen the Southwest Chief Commission, partly by giving it the authority to develop rail along the Front Range. This will make it much more likely that the train will come to Pueblo, and possible that a train will connect Colorado from Trinidad through Colorado Springs and Denver to Fort Collins.

Any resident of Colorado may testify although the time to do so may be later in the session
