See public art via light rail and fight climate change

Saturday, September 12, 9 am - 3 pm
starting point: Union Station Light Rail
You can get here on the W or E lines or any bus that goes to Union Station

The tour uses the E line to see public art in Denver and Englewood. Self-guided and tours guided by the Museum of Outdoor art are available. You will be told the time for each segment so that you can decide how much or how little time to spend. Please schedule at least an hour for travel time and walking to the art.

In addition, there will be contests. There will be drawings for bus tickets every half hour, and Denver Arts and Venues will be running a contest to find the best cell phone photo of our public art.

One of the organizers, Laurie Gibb, says, "Using public transportation helps us feel like we're making a difference," in the fight against climate change.

So if you take the bus or the train, you are fighting climate change and should pat yourself on the back.

FasTracks Photo Contest

Every two weeks RTD will be giving away VIP tickets to ride the West Line before it opens to the public to whoever takes the best photo of the West Line test trains. Each entrant may enter three photos every two weeks, and must be over 18. If there are any people in your photos, you must get written releases from them as these photos will be used by RTD in their promotional materials. Please note that these photos become the property of RTD, and that the photographers names will not be listed when the photos are used.

To enter, send photo files to Michelle.Brier@RTD-Denver.com. Each photo must be 10 MB or less. April 20 is the last day to enter.

Please note that FasTracks is not open yet, so please do not enter any stations areas or any areas near the tracks.
